Trader Joe's Appoints Prabash Coswatte as New Chief Information Officer
Trader Joe's confirmed to Grocery Dive on Thursday that it has hired Prabash Coswatte as Chief Information Officer. Coswatte previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Heritage Grocers Group, overseeing store operations and information technology, and has also held the role of Chief Information Officer at Cardenas Markets.
Trader Joe's has hired Prabash Coswatte as chief information officer, the grocer confirmed to Grocery Dive on Thursday.
Coswatte previously worked at Heritage Grocers Group, where he held several senior positions, including chief administrative officer and, most recently, chief operating officer, overseeing areas such as store operations and information technology. During his tenure at Heritage, he also served as chief information officer at Cardenas Markets starting in 2019.
Before joining Heritage, Coswatte served as chief information officer at Hispanic grocer Vallarta Supermarkets and as vice president of enterprise project management at 99 Cents Only Stores.
Coswatte joins Trader Joe's as the company focuses on expanding its store count. Trader Joe's confirmed to Grocery Dive earlier this year that it plans to open more than 20 stores in 2026. The grocer opened 43 stores in 2025 and 34 stores in 2024.
